Returns

At LineaModern, we want you to be delighted with your new furniture. If something isn’t right, our return process is straightforward and respects your statutory rights in Great Britain.


1) Your Right to Cancel (“Cooling-Off” Period)

For online purchases, you have the legal right to return your order within 30 calendar days from the day after you receive your item(s), without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, please notify us by email within the 14-day period:

To help us process your request quickly, please include your order number, full name, delivery address, and the items you wish to cancel.


2) Returning Your Item(s) After Cancellation

If you cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period, you then have an additional 16 calendar days from the date you notify us of your cancellation to return the goods to us.

Condition of Returned Goods

  • Items must be returned in their original condition and original packaging.
  • Items must not be assembled or used.
  • If goods have been handled more than necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning (i.e. beyond what you would do in a shop), we may deduct an appropriate amount from your refund for diminished value.

Return Shipping Costs

  • Unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods.
  • If an order is refused at delivery and returned via the carrier, the return carriage cost will be invoiced to you.
  • No additional charges apply if you cancel or change your order before dispatch.

Packaging

Please ensure items are securely packaged to prevent damage in transit. We strongly recommend keeping all original packaging until you are sure you wish to keep the item. If items are damaged in return transit due to inadequate packaging, deductions may be made from your refund.


3) Refunds

  • Timeframe: We will process your refund within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned goods.
  • Refund Amount: If you cancel within 14 days and return goods in original condition, we refund the product price in full. Any deductions for diminished value (see above) may apply.
  • Method: Refunds are made to the original payment method only.

4) Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Goods

Upon Delivery

Please inspect your order on delivery. If packaging appears damaged, ask the driver to record this and, if appropriate, refuse the delivery. Then contact us immediately so we can arrange a replacement at no extra cost to you.

After Delivery

If damage or a fault is discovered after acceptance, we will assist promptly. In many cases we can provide spare parts without hassle.

Please notify us within 48 hours of delivery at info@lineamodern.co.uk with:

  • Your order number
  • A brief description of the issue
  • Clear photographs showing the damage/fault and the packaging (if applicable)

Where goods are faulty, damaged, or incorrect, you are entitled to a remedy in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (repair/replacement or refund as appropriate). No return costs will be charged to you in these cases.


5) Items Not Eligible for Change-of-Mind Returns

  • Made-to-order or customised items (as indicated on the product page) unless faulty or damaged.
  • Items that have been assembled, installed, modified, or used.
  • Items returned without adequate packaging where damage occurs in transit.

6) How to Start a Return

  1. Email info@lineamodern.co.uk to request a return authorisation.
  2. We’ll confirm next steps, including the return address or collection arrangements.
  3. Pack the item securely (ideally in the original packaging) and include your order number inside the box.
